THE RACES

grims

The most abundant and prosperous. These beings may appear human, though their ultimate capabilities surpass humans by great lengths. All posses unique and bizarre powers that at best you could only imagine to see on TV. Now it's common knowledge that such super humans are real, though it doesn't prevent a negative stigma to be placed on them. Due to the war this race has gotten a bad rap. They are racially judged harshly by the humans and their representatives. Though in contrast, not all grim are alike in mind or thought. All have different opinions on the war and similar racial debates, and not all wished for the destruction of human kind - like the radicals who had started the war in the first place. This racial group is the most dominant around the world, and holds the most power thanks to WWIII.

zombies

After the initial race wars 'settled' a new substance was released that eliminated further the human population. A chemical, appropriately named chemical-x, was distributed to those that could afford it. The chemical when injected into the human body had promised a longer life span, stronger immune system, and potentially adapted abilities that could mimic those of the grim race. However it all came at a price. Aside from being the most expensive treatment on Earth, ChemX when injected changed humans into something else. Those that paid for the treatment become something more than human, though less then grim. A stronger immune system, longer life span, and a more heighten strength were all granted, however these new 'people' began to develop a craving for flesh and blood.

These people were what then sparked the zombie scare of the 2030's. With that being said a lot has changed for the 'zombie kind'. Like humans they have their own territories, though most live amongst other grim freely. This race has much more freedom and privilege than humans or hybrids, though this is attributed to the fact that most zombies come or came from wealth. Zombies can now live normally thanks to the grims assisting in creating a formula (SS: sugar and spice - not in the literal sense of course)that would help sate most of their cravings, though all zombies still require a heavily 'protein' infused diet in addition to the formula -which can be taken in a multitude of ways- once a week.

humans

The second to least abundant member group on the forum. Due to the war and continuous fighting with the grims, and in addition to the zombies that soon followed them, their numbers have sadly been depleted. Not gifted with special powers or abilities like the grim, these people rely on more fundamental manners to succeed and persevere. The most noted contribution from this race being machines. Technology serves them where their human capabilities cannot manage. They protect themselves this way. In this day and age it's what they cling to for comfort really. Though because their living conditions are typically so haphazard, many humans don't live as long as what is to be expected in this era. The poverty of their territories as created a gang environment and mentality amongst the civilians that most have become accustomed to. Their prejudices keep them from reaching out to the grim or zombies alike. Churches and hate groups preaching against all races besides their own are all too common, however none pose much of a threat.

hybrids

It may seem cool and dandy having two parents from different species, however being called a hybrid has become more of a racial slur rather then a compliment. Most hybrids are sickly, whether in appearance or otherwise, and since it's against the law to consummate with those outside your own species those of this status are considered lowly and vile. These individuals suffer the most from the race war because it's not just one individual group that dislikes them, but ALL groups. Though surprisingly enough their numbers are larger than what one would expect. It's estimated that hybrids have nearly risen to numbers equal, to slightly lower, than that of the human population.
